Get found on the map. Learn how to link your Stride template to your Google Business Profile to dominate local search and win more customers in your area.
When someone searches for "Handyman near me" or "Yoga studio in [Your Town]", Google shows a map with three local businesses beneath it. This is the "Local Pack," and it’s the holy grail of local marketing.
Having a Stride website is the first step. The second step is telling Google that your website and your physical location belong together. Here is how to become a "Local Hero."
If you haven't already, you need to tell Google you exist.
How: Go to google.com/business and sign in with your Google account.
The Check: Search for your business name on Google. If a box appears on the right saying "Own this business?", click it to start the verification process.
Once you are verified, you need to point Google’s users to your high-converting website.
The Action: In your Business Profile dashboard, go to Edit Profile > Contact > Website.
The Link: Paste your custom domain (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com) here.
Why: Google tracks how many people click from the map to your site. High traffic tells Google your business is relevant, which helps you climb the map rankings.
Google’s algorithm is a detective. It looks for consistency to prove you are a legitimate business.
What is NAP? Name, Address, and Phone Number.
The Task: Ensure your business name, address, and phone number on your Stride website footer are identical to what you’ve typed in your Google Business Profile. If your site says "St." and your profile says "Street," Google might get confused. Keep it exact!
Google Business Profile rankings are heavily influenced by the quantity and quality of your reviews.
The Trick: On your "Contact" or "Thank You" page in your Stride template, add a button that says "Leave us a 5-star review."
How to get the link: In your Google Business Profile dashboard, click "Ask for reviews" to get a direct short-link you can paste into your Stride button.
Show your customers (and Google) exactly where you are.
How: On your Stride "Contact" page, use the Insert > Map feature. Search for your business name, select it, and hit Select. This creates a "Live Link" between your site and your map location.
By linking these two tools, you’re making it significantly easier for Google to recommend you to local customers. You’ll see more "Click to Call" actions and more foot traffic to your door.
